Terms of Use

In short
- These terms cover this website and your business's use of TAB.
- You pay per bill, as set out on the Pricing page. There is no subscription.
- You are responsible for what you sell, for your customers and for your refunds.
- We can hold settlements or suspend an account to deal with fraud, misuse or a legal requirement.
- Nigerian law applies.
1.About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Bill Intelligent Flow Technologies Limited ("we", "us"), which runs TAB. By using this website or creating a TAB account, you accept them. If you use TAB for a business, you confirm that you are allowed to accept them on its behalf, and "you" includes that business.
They sit beside our company-wide Terms of Service, which also apply. Where the two differ on TAB, these terms apply. Our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy explain how we handle personal data.
2.Using this website
The content of this website, including our guides, is general information about running a business and about TAB. It is not legal, tax or financial advice. We keep it accurate and up to date, but it can change without notice. Links to other websites are for convenience; we are not responsible for their content.
3.Who can use TAB
TAB is for businesses, and for people running a business, in Nigeria. You must be at least 18 and able to enter into a binding contract.
4.Your account
- Give us accurate information and keep it up to date.
- Keep your login details secure. You are responsible for everything done in your account, including by staff you add.
- Tell us straight away at support@billif.com if you think someone has used your account without permission.
5.Verification
The law requires us to verify who you are and the business you run before we can settle funds to you. Until your verification is approved, you can collect up to ₦ 5,000,000.00 of online payments a month, and settlements wait until it is approved. A business verified without CAC registration keeps that monthly limit; one verified with its CAC registration has none.
We may ask for more information at any time, and we may refuse or close an account we cannot verify.
6.Fees
Our fees are published on the Pricing page. In summary:
- A bill paid through TAB: a transaction fee of 2.5% + ₦ 150.00, plus VAT at 7.5%, capped at ₦ 3,650.00 before VAT. It is taken from the payment before settlement.
- A bill settled outside TAB, in cash, on your own POS or by a transfer straight to you: one credit, ₦ 150.00 including VAT, and no transaction fee.
- New businesses start with 30 free credits, which are used first and last 90 days. Credits you buy do not expire.
- Settlement to your bank account is free. A withdrawal you make from your TAB balance costs ₦ 100.00.
We may change our fees. We will tell you before a change takes effect, and the Pricing page always shows the current fees.
7.Payments and settlement
Payments your customers make through TAB are settled to your verified bank account the next business day, less our fees. We may hold or delay a settlement while we complete verification, investigate suspected fraud or a dispute, or meet a legal or regulatory requirement. Where a payment is reversed or charged back, we may deduct it from your balance or from later settlements.
8.What you sell and your customers
- You are the seller. You are responsible for your goods and services, your prices, taxes, refunds and customer complaints.
- You must give your customers the information the law requires, including your business name and how to reach you.
- You are responsible for the personal data you collect from your customers through TAB, and for having a lawful basis for it under the NDPA.
9.What you may not do
- Sell anything illegal in Nigeria, or use TAB for fraud, money laundering or to finance crime.
- Misrepresent who you are, your business or what you sell.
- Send spam or unwanted messages through TAB, including on WhatsApp.
- Interfere with TAB, try to get around its security, or copy, scrape or reverse engineer it.
- Use TAB in a way that breaks the law or another person's rights.
10.Our service
We work to keep TAB available and secure, but we cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or free of errors. We may change, add or remove features, and we will tell you in advance about changes that significantly affect how you use TAB. Some features depend on services we do not control, such as banks, payment networks and WhatsApp.
11.Intellectual property
TAB, this website and their software, design, names and logos belong to us or our licensors. We give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use TAB for your business while your account is open. Your content, such as your catalog, photos and business details, stays yours; you allow us to use it to run TAB for you and to show it to your customers.
12.Suspending or closing an account
You can close your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or close an account if you break these terms, if we cannot verify you, if we suspect fraud, or if the law requires it. When an account closes, we settle what we owe you, less fees and any amounts we are entitled to hold for disputes or by law.
13.Our liability
To the extent the law allows, TAB and this website are provided as they are, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, data or goodwill. Nothing in these terms limits a liability that cannot be limited under Nigerian law, including your rights under the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act.
14.Your responsibility to us
If a claim is made against us because of what you sell, how you treat your customers, or your breach of these terms or the law, you agree to cover our reasonable losses and costs.
15.Changes to these terms
When we change these terms we update the date at the top, and we tell account holders about significant changes by email or in the app before they take effect. If you keep using TAB after that, you accept the new terms.
16.Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. If you have a complaint, contact us first at support@billif.com so we can try to resolve it. Disputes that cannot be resolved that way go to the courts of Nigeria.
